Covenant Connection is one of the church’s most active and dynamic ministries! By meeting in the middle of the week, we endeavor to connect our faith and fellowship to our daily lives.
Different components of the program that occur before and after dinner are tailored towards children grades K-5, youth grades 6-12, and adults. Activities for the children include music time, recreation time, and servant time. Several volunteers work together to provide the younger children with opportunities to build bridges with each other through choir time, play, and service learning. Before dinner, the older youth participate in a facilitated Bible Study. After dinner they can enjoy the Faith & Film segment in which they discuss the connections between scriptural teachings and current movies in a way that feels relevant to teens and tweens. (Popcorn is on the house!) Programming for the youth runs from 5:15-7:15pm each Wednesday through the Fall and Spring. Dinner is served at 6pm with a rotating cast of kitchen helpers. Dinner (with ‘Table Parents’ supervising the children) is enjoyed family-style by all.
Adults can enjoy Wednesday evening prayers from 6:30-7:15.
Covenant Connection is free though donations of money, craft supplies, and volunteer time (even occasional!) are greatly appreciated to help the program run smoothly. Children and youth do need to be registered by their parents so that we have proper emergency information on hand for each child.
