It is Covenant’s mission to welcome all God’s people, and send a clear signal to all persons identifying as lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender that they will find acceptance at Covenant. Covenant affirms and welcomes people who identify as LGBTQIA+ into its faith community and seeks to live out that calling through public expressions of solidarity. Covenant sponsors and marches in the Athens Pride Parade, is present at supportive community events and stands in solidarity with all who are marginalized and discriminated against because they identify as LGBTQIA+.
